Fish Ambul Thiyal

ingredients

  • 500g any red-blooded large fish (eg. Kelawalla – cut into pieces)
  • 1½ teaspoons salt
  • 1″ ginger
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 4 pieces goraka
  • 3 teaspoons pepper powder
  • 1 teaspoon chillie powder
  • 1 teaspoon roasted curry powder
  • 1 piece rampe
  • 2 sprigs curry leaves
  • 3 green chillies
  • Oil for frying

Method:

Wash and leave fish aside, grind together the rest of the ingredients. Heat a pan, add oil and the ground ingredients, add fish, mix well and cook on slow fire till fish is cooked.
